In October 2018, NPAC together with Nyimba Investments Limited Foundation delivered a Mass Decontamination Unit (MDCU) to the Lusaka City Council Fire Brigade Service. This Incidence Response Unit is a mobile decontamination system comprised of several collapsible tents, protective gear, clothing, towels and ancillary equipment (generators/boilers etc.), which can be transported to disaster sites and used to decontaminate the public and firefighters.
This comprehensive system, donated by the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service in the UK was provided to the Fire Service with full instruction manuals to ensure they would be adequately trained.
